Preserve a legacy
Gifting a Quiltacy Subscription
Give your mother, your grandma, or your favorite quilter a year of Quiltacy. They'll be able to record each quilt they've made, with photos, information about the pattern and fabrics, who it was for, and the story behind it. It will become something that lasts: a record of their life's work, in their own words.
Standard $29.90 · Premium $49.90
One-time payment.

Every quilt has a story. This year, help the quilter in your life create a digital archive of their quilts.
How Quiltacy began
Quiltacy was made to be gifted
I built Quiltacy for my mom, Cheryl. She taught me to quilt when I was just seven or eight years old, and over the years she showed me traditional piecing, foundation paper piecing, free motion quilting, and how to bind a quilt by hand. She even gave me creative freedom during my phase of truly regrettable color combinations!
My mom has quilted her whole life, and when she told me she wanted a better way to keep track of her quilts, I knew I wanted to create a system that had everything she was looking for. In addition to her list of must-haves, I wanted the archive to prompt my mom to write down the story behind each quilt. I won't have my mom with me always, and I knew that if she recorded those stories, I'd have a piece of her to keep forever.
When the site was finally ready, I called her, had her go to Quiltacy.com on her computer, and gave her the very first Quiltacy subscription (her subscription is free forever, of course!). She's working through her lifetime of quilts, adding them to her personal archive of masterpieces. That's the gift of Quiltacy: a place for the quilter you love to record their stories, so they become part of a lasting legacy.

How it works
Simple to give, easy to open
Choose a year of Standard or Premium
Add a personal note. It's the first thing they'll read when they open their gift.
Pick how to give it
We'll email it on the day you choose, like Christmas morning, or you can print a gift certificate to wrap or tuck into a card.
Redeeming the gift
The recipient's year starts the day they redeem their gift. If they already have a Quiltacy account, the gift adds to it.
Follow along as they quilt
With Premium, the quilter can choose to turn on their custom Public Gallery, where you can view their creations.

Questions about gifting
Does the gift renew?
No. It's a one-time payment. Near the end of the year, we'll ask the gift recipient whether they'd like to continue the subscription. We'll also email you, in case you'd like to gift another year.
What if they already use Quiltacy?
The gift adds a year to the recipient's account, and everything they've recorded stays right where it is. If the recipient is paying for a plan now, the gift year begins when that plan ends, so no time goes to waste.
What happens to the recipient's quilts after the year?
The quilt records are theirs to keep. If the gift recipient doesn't continue with Quiltacy, their account moves to the free plan and every record is kept safe for a full year in case they come back. The gift recipient can also download a complete export at any time.
Standard or Premium?
Standard holds up to 30 quilts and includes printable PDFs. Premium has no limit and adds a Public Gallery the gift recipient can share with others. If they've been quilting for years, Premium gives room for all of the quilter's creations.
Can they use it on their phone?
Yes. Quiltacy works on any phone, tablet or computer, so the recipient can photograph a quilt and record it wherever they are.
How do they redeem their gift?
If you chose email, they'll get an email from Quiltacy on the day you picked, and they just click Open your gift. If you printed a certificate, they can scan its QR code with their phone's camera, or go to quiltacy.com/gift/redeem and type in the gift code. Either way, they'll create a free account (or sign in, if they already have one), and their gift year starts right then.
Does the gift code expire?
No. The recipient's year starts on the day they redeem it, whenever that may be.
