Terms of Service
Effective May 26, 2025
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Quiltacy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.
2. The Service
Quiltacy is a web application for recording, archiving, and sharing quilts and works in progress. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of circumventing plan limits. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Quiltacy offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Standard and Premium). Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are listed in US dollars.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Quiltacy — quilt records, photos, notes, and other data. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload. You may not upload content that infringes third-party rights or violates any law. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
6. Public Gallery
If you enable the public gallery feature (available on Premium plans), your selected quilt records will be accessible to anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for what you choose to make public. You can disable your public gallery at any time from your account settings, which will immediately remove public access.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service without permission
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
8. Data on Downgrade or Cancellation
If your subscription expires or is cancelled, your records remain intact and accessible. Your account returns to the free tier. If your archive contains more records than the free tier allows, existing records are not deleted — you simply cannot add new ones until you restart a subscription. You can export or delete your data at any time.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Quiltacy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiltacy and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
